Editor, DowntO\\1l Magazine l~c., PO Box A, Livonia, NY 14487 Dear Editor\ The \1941 Air Show,\ sponsored annually by the National Warplane Museum, was held Sept. 19 and 20 this year, notwithstanding the poorest weather we have yet experienced for this event. In spite of the problems inflicted by the rain, the show was a remarkable success, and attracted a sur- prisingly good crowd of 15,000 aviation enthusiasiS and sup- porters. museum activity, we are rapidly creating year-round opportunities for educational tours, restoration projects, oral history pre- servation, and research and resource facilities. We want to acknowledge, with deep gra- titude, all those who are making this expansion possible, and to invite the pubic's interest and inspection throughout the year. majority of people in Honeoye Falls are decent folks. In conclusion, this woman had no business being so incredibly rude and so grossly unfair to' such a person as my father. I hope that she remembers her manners the next time she goes out into the community. Shame, shame. Sincerely, W. Austin Wadsworth President K.M. Gilda Honeoye Falls September 20 To those 15,000 who turned out during Sept. 19 and 20: Thank You! We trust you were rewarded by outstanding examples of World War II aircraft, representing many' var- ious types, and performing as frequently as the weather would allow. Dear Editor: An interesting thing happened today in the village of Honeoye Falls. As my father was returning from a walk with my dog (leashed), a car pulled over to the shoulder of the road by the Atlantic gas station on North Main. A respectable- appearing female in her late 50's hollered across the street to my father (and I quote) \It takes_ to let that dog go on a person's lawn like that!\ Lunch Is Special ... To the more than 600 Museum members and workers who volunteered throughout the weekend: Thank You! Your dedication, generosity, and or- .ganized approach provided the capability to handle 60,000 visitors. We'll be ready for them next year. To the communities of Livingston and Monroe Coun- ties, and especially Geneseo: Two thoughts come to mind. First, this female was unaware of the facts. Whenever my dog is walked by my father or me, all solid waste produced by the dog is removed by the walker and disposed of appropriately. As far as the liquid waste is concerned, most of that is safely home on ~y own lawn. My dog lifts his leg mainly for show. Continued from page 1 Thank You! Your support of our efforts has been extremely gratifying, and we hope our development as a significant museum facility will be-a source. of the area's pride. We, certainly, are proud to call the Genesee Valley, \Home.\ Secondly, obnoxious place during the week. \We'll be giving free meals at the four cafeterias on a random basis all week. And at Lima Primary and Manor Schools each student who purchases a lunch will receive a sticker with a picture of Disney character \Goofy\ eating an apple under a headline reading 'It's cool to cat at School\' said Ms. Crunden. Blood Donors Needed Volunteer support is essential to the success of all Red Cross blood drives. Volunteer blood donors and sup- port staff are needed for the Mendon-Honeoye Falls blood drive scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 22 at the Presbyterian Church, 27 N. Main St., Hone- oye Falls. \Volunteers help th- roughout the entire blood collection process.
