The people of this village were much exoited Friday morning, when it was reported that we ba d a case of infantile paralysis in town. Tbe rumor was caused by the moving in to a part of the Kennedy bouse tbe night before of a Polish family from Saltvale, where the three months old child of Mr. and MrB. Jerr y Peters was ill witb tbe disease. The Polish parents admitted their children bad played witb tbe Peters child before it was taken ill, and as a precaution ary measure, Health Officer Dr. J. O. Randall immediately quarantined tbe family and will keep tbem under observation for three weeks. Guards have been stationed to keep everyone out and everything is being done to protect the villagers from this dread disease. We have no cases o f infan tile paralysis here as yet, and If ev eryone will co-operate wit h the health authorities we can doubtless escape. Married. Tbe Court o f Appeals has deolared that the 1915 reapportionment aot is unconstitutional, whioh means that the old apportionment will stand un less Gov. Whitman oalls a special session of tbe legislature to pass an other bill. Under tbe old apportion ment, Wyoming, Genesee and Alle gany counties comprise this senator ial district, represented the past tw o years by Arcbio D.Sanders. Mr.San- dors is running for Member of Con gress in this distriot against Repre sentative Danforth and is in the race to stay. Assemblyman Knight is ripe for advancement and bis friends are urging him t o run for State Son- ator. In this case there will doubt less be several candidates for Assem blyman. Bert P. Gage of Warsaw has announced his candidacy for tbe office, under tbe above conditions, and asks the support of bis friends.
