You know how well it pays to keep your carriage painted,.j both for looks and to keep out water It pays' as well to^ paint your barn and youfrhouse. We put your barn •first, because that is your business— your customers sec it. You see, there at;e two good reas ons for paint, one is Iooka. the other is wear. If yon paint for looks, the wear will take care of itself Paint often for looks, and use good paint for both looks and wear. The^best paint is Devoe lead aud zinc ground together by machinery, same proportions as nre used by the U. S. government. It wears twice as long as lead and ofl mixed by hand. One was the designation of a Republican paper to .publish the session laws, which brought on it law guit which is now peudjtig nnd will bo heard at the next term of the - Ap pellate Court. Another was in solemnly resolving that hereafter the number of superin tendents of the- poor in lite county should be one instead of three. There nro 16 supervisors, ami i:» we're present when the action _ was taken. Of tiiesc, just eight support- io-Ec«ohition and the wise Solons finding themselves a majority of tlio 13, forced through the resolution aud tfcclarcAl it operative. The matter recontly camo to tlio attention of the Attorney-General in coiinectiau.with the Secretary of Stato sending ou the election notices, and, acting -on tho ndvlco of Attoruey General, the Secretary of State in- cludo.l iu the list of county ofllcora to be elected in the County of Wyoming this fall a superintendent of the poor -fer-the- term- of—three 'yenrs. Were- - the action of the eight wise men \alid, there would be no election to that office until 11102. .. The Attorney-General says that oight is not a majority of sixteen,\ no matter if the Supervisors of Wyom ing County think otherwise, untl it take a majority of the full Board of Supervisors to legislate. It looks an if the Supervisor had put \ at least eight pairs of feet in\ it \ and had made a pretty mess.
