Mr* and lirs. Rey- nolds Visited on his 1 birthday their daughter* Mrs, Albert Garlock, who is recovering from a serious illness. It is a pleasure to meet: an affable gentle- man like Mr. Reynolds, who retains his courtly manners at 85. He was born in Sardinia, Erie county^ N, if,, June 6,1837, being; the ninth of eleven children, passing his early life in, that vicinity, He cast his first Presidential vote for Abraham Lincoln in 1860. He enlisted in the Civil War, Company P, 116th Regiment, New York Volun- teers, being honorably discharged in 1865. Owingto an injury to his hand, a part of his service was in the reserve corps, where he guarded prisoners.! SJr. and Mrs. Reynolds moved\ to: Wayne coiintyin 1887j coming to Mar-: ion village from Walworth in 1891.: One of the red letter days in their happy life was December 13, 1916, when they eelebrated their golden wed- ding,, a t their home on, Buffalo street, with their children and grandchildren, and friends. Mr; Reynolds comes of sturdy ancestry, who were of New England stock, Although hot so: rugged as in former years, he i s re- markably young in spirit, and enters*; into the pleasures of their home which has long .been known for its delightful! hospitality. ,MT.
