Swell, of the seminary faculty, preached in the Mar- ion Baptist Church. . Mr. Ewell was heard with mueh in- terest, his sermon being founded on- the text: 1 Samuel 8: 6. Mr. Gordon Ridenour, vice principal rf the Lyons High School, sang a solo, accompanied by Mrs. C. L Seybold,: which added much to the service,, and. in the Sunday School, sang another beautiful selection, with.Mrs, Ride; nour, accompanist. It was regarded a great privilege to hear Mr. Ridenour, whose ability as a soloist and musical leader is well- known. •Sunday evening Rev. Mr. Griffin was in. his pulpit, the satisfaction of his-' congregation being evidenced by the unusually large number .present'.. The: musical selections were hekutiful and: '-mpressiye. Mr. Grain's theme was the ''Spiritual femplej\ the: applica- tion being -that nothing but the best! service is fit for the Church of the Liv- ing God. He \will conclude his. relations as pastor of the Marion church on June 1, preaching for the last time next Sunday.'
