The Junior Miss Scholarship Program is Saturday, Nov. 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the Ticonderoga High School auditorium and is sponsored by the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce. Admission is charged at the door. The Junior Miss winner gets a $1,000 scholarship, roses, a trophy and a trip to the state pageant in Whitehall in Febru- ary 1996. Pageant Director Andrew Powvorznik said judging is based 20 percent on the judges' inter- view, 25 percent on scholastics, 15 percent on fitness, 25 percent on talent and 15 percent on poise. The first runner-up gets a $500 scholarship, the second, ,$250; third, $200; and fourth, $150. Category awards are also made for poise, talent, fitness and scholastics and each gets a $100 scholarship. p Award is a $100 scholarship from the Fort Carillon Business and Professional Women and Employees Mutual Association of International Paper. The mistress of ceremonies will be Judy Davis, and 1994 Junior Miss Shallon Nadeau will present awards. The entrants are: Nicole Seudorl: The daughter of Vicki Noel and Dennis Scuderi, she would like to become a police officer after graduation and wants to attend SUNY Platt- sburgh. She likes cheerleading and plays soccer and softball. Shauna Porter: The daughter of Donna and Kyler Porter, she plans to study nursing at SUNY Plattsburgh. She likes cheerleading, chorus and danc- ing. Nicole Bianchlne: The daughter of Melanie Marshall and Terry Bianchine, she plans to attend Colby-Sawyer College to major in elementary-special education. Nicole plays volleyball and enjoys singing. Sara Ann Lethbridgc: The daughter of Nancy and Chip Lethbridge, she wants to attend Rhode Island School of Design to major in graphic design. She plays soccer and track and likes painting. Sara Ellen Salstead: She is the daughter of Paul and Debbie Salstead and plans to attend college for a degree in elementary education. She plays soccer, and track and likes skiing and travel. Jessica Coombs: She is the daughter of James Coombs and Chris Derouchie and is going to join the U.S. Air Force after graduation. She enjoys cheerleading and soccer and likes skiing and travel. Erin Witherbee: She is the daughter of Michael and Linda Witherbee and will attend SUNY to become a designer. Erin is a cheerleader and likes drawing and dancing. Jennifer Whitford: She is the daughter of Brenda' and Rodney 'Whitford and plans to major in disabled-child care at SUNY Plattsburgh. She likes comedy and soft-ballet and plays softball. Nafeasa Madyun: The daughter of Aaliyah Madyun-Smith and Asmar Madyun,. she would like to attend Herkimer Community College and Syracuse University for a degree in teaching.
