S. By Waltee W. Swingle, Jr. Commander, Hiscock Fighbaugh Post American Legion f response to the readers 0 thilsn pg; who have been fol- lowing the articles I have been writing on the Flag of the Un- ited States; yes, the articles will continue for two to three more weeks, just as soon as I find the materials I have been using for the articles. I have become a resident of the Village of Hilton, and as of this date, we are still in the pro- cess of unpacking. Somewhere in these yet unpacked boxes, I will find my materia, I had hopes of resuming the articles this week but with all my otl.1er projects and duties, unpacking is moving slower than expected. In regards to our moving from Parma Center into Hilton, I wish to thank my ex-neighbors for all their help, especially the PDrys, Poolers, Dodds, Rossners and the Shemskis. A special thanks to Naomi Dodds, our chef of the day. Also a thank you and deep appreciation to Glen Wright and Hilton Milling, both who are helping in making our remodel- ing chores much easier, Next week's article will cover \The proper manner of display- ing the flag.\ Stimulants for Living By Larry Topliffe in Can anyone say which of the four seasons is the most 'beauti- ful? Have you ever tried to com- pare one with the other? I think we're entering one of the most beautiful times of the year right now -Fall That's what the leaves do, and to some it's a glorious sight, to others its a sign that the easy weather is almost over; winter is almost up. on us, I wonder if these people take a look at the transition that is going on around them all the time? Trees that once were full of big green leaves that a light wind would rustle, or a stiff breeze would whip them unmer- cifully, are now slowly becomnig stripped of their cloaks to be- come colorful blankets for the lawns and lace for the ribbons of highways. Lace that shifts and disappears as the wind moves them to its will. ' A forest that once looked like a green mountain, has almost overnight, transformed into an unbelievable color spectacle, be- fore it, too, changes its face as the leaves fall to the ground, un- observed except by the squirrel and chipmunk and an occasional hunter as he tries to be quiet rustling through them.
