Haynes, of Fillmore, this even- ing, August 17th, He will ad- dress the local Rotary Club, one of 57 in his district, and will confer with Fran VanDorn, president of the local club, to obtain information on the club's plans for its service activities and to offer suggestions on Ro- tary administrative matters. Andrew F,. Haynes is one of 283 Rotary governors in all parts of the world who are serving as the sole representative of Rotary International in districts com- prised of member clubs Each district leader is responsible for supervising the clubs in his area. More than 12,785 Rotary Clubs in 134 countries are supervised 'by Rotary governors. A charter member and past president of the Rotary Club of Fillmore, Andrew F. Haynes is District Superintendent of Schools in Allegany County. He was elected to office at the Ro- tary convention in Nice, France last May, and will serve until June 30, 1968. \While in Hilton,\ according to Mr. VanDorn, local Rotary Club President, \the governor of our district will talk with us about possible growth of mem- bership, and the likelihood of forming additional Rotary Clubs in nearby communities. His visit will also give us a broader un- derstanding of the worldwide Rotary organization that today embraces more than 615,000 men of practically all national- Kies and religious beliefs.\ Though a seasoned Rotarian before his election to the office of Rotary Governor, Mr. Haynes attended an 8-day meeting last May in New York State at which all Rotary governors for 1967- 88 received intensive draining for their jobs. One of his biggest jobs will be to hold a district conference of all Rotary Clubs in this area.
