Necessity demands that a rail- road station be built at Alburgh a iioint ou tliaN. A. R. R. where good iiany people take tho train and -nany more would if a comfortable waiting room was located at that place. A few clnys since we heard r latcd the experiences of two young ladies that wished to take the train at Alburgh; they arrived a little ear- ly and after promonading up and down the track, sitting on the un- cushioned platform, viewing the surrounding scenery, enduring the hot ray8 of the sun, and anxiously waiting aud watching for the train for about one aud one half hours, it finally appeared around the curve, and then tho frantic maneuveres wero gone through with in trying UTflag the train and after it had passed them several rods, it stopped, backed up and took them on, and when once safely in the car and moving on, they concluded that, it was not ao bad but what it might have been wane, supposing it had rained, or in Case of cold weather, snowed, hailed etc. Such things make it very disagreeable for 4he traveler. We think that a joint$ eff- ort between the people of Alburgh and the generous It R Co. would be sufficient to build a comfortable waiting room at that point, so that it would ba a pleasure to patronize the road at that place. , -—i—.•- i_ .
