Found Kf»i*i'et-j «*<l In u Street Culvert* The dead body of a man was found hiden in a street culvert, on Ronnie street Malone., on Saturday last Some school boys were playing ball on ll'jnuio St. when the ball was v seen to roll under the culvert, which runs under the street, a boy went and discovered about six feet He gave the a in after the ball the body of a man from the entrance, larm and Coroner Nickelson caused the body to be removed to his rooms on Anisden street Tho appearanco of the bod}' when found indicated that death onsincd from thirty-six to forty-eight lnmrs previous. Dr. Skinner testified \at the inquest that they f<ound| a severe contusion on the head a lijttle back of the crown about the size <j>f the palm of a man's hand. This Avji^, in his opinion, Haus- ed by a severe {blow or a fall agdinst some hard substance, thercj was also a dark red line extending from the eye . upwards about two inches which might lmvo been caused by a blow from a cane. No other marks of violence was found on the body. The Dr. says that 4iie blow on^ the top of the head was sufficient to cause death.
