Vast crowds were assem- bled to vkw.the colorful spectacle. There was a grand array of bands, lire trucks from the Northern towns and the marching companies In fine uniforms. ' The Federal Hos- pital truck was specially decorated, surmounted with a floral arch, with tho large word, \Sunmount\ prominently appearing thereon. A delegation of officials in cars, led the parade, preceded by a bi- cycle officer, and troopers along the line of march. Miss Qraco Williams, as \Miss Tupper Lake.\ and Queen of the Convention, was In an open' ear, following tho officials, and sho pre- .vented a most admirable appear- ance, and a credit to Tupper Lake. The villages represented by flro trucks, apparatus, banners, bands, nntl marching men, were, in order of line, as follows: Carthage, Phil- adelphia, Gouverneur, Clayton, Lake Placid. Saranac Lake, Norwood, Massenat.Norfolk, Potsdam, Star Lake, Federal Hospital. The parade was the finest ever witnessed in Tupper Lake, and was very long, marching from the Junc- tion, and thru main arid outlying streets. After the parade, tho six bands were massed, and played as one immense band, a famous mili- tary march, which the publisher had marched to, in New York City avenues, while a member of two different regiments there. The big band aggregation marched from Town Hall around the business Weeks, and back. The 23 prize enps were presented to the winners, by Miss Grace Wil- liams, ' representing the local Fire Department.
