They were in the cemetery dig- ging a grare for the remains of the Po-J lack who was kakd on the N.Y.AO. R. R., at Faust, Friday night. The workmen had encountered a large rock in f\\ •• • 451 1 *•* • the grass and were nhhgH. to use dyna-| ^lOtning, . JilOeg^ ^^anCL^jLUirilll WB S«LL EVERYTHING IN W. A. Donovan, Agt t Tupper Lakc^N. Y, mite to remove it. They had a small quantity of the explosive in the tool house located in the cemetery, and aboutN&fty feet from where they were working. They had started a fire to warm the dynamite and while it was wanmnghad returned to the grave to work. Without warning they heard a terrific report and debris was thrown about the grave and - over their heads. When they crawled put, they at\ once realised what had happened aa the tool house was completely demolished. Tools' and pieces of lumber were found hundreds of feet awhy' from the scene of the explo- sion and many of the implements which were in the tool house have not yet been recovered. The workmen undoubtedly owe their lives to the fact that they were down in the grave working, for, had they been near the building or even above ground near the grave, they mart of a necessity lave met a tragic death. ; Frank Seigd, who ia attending college at Schenectady, made a short call with ak parenk thk week; MEATS AND CROCERIES.
