Conntf Convention. The quarterly meeting ot the Franklw county lodge, 1. O. O, T., wa s held la the lecture ro;jm of the M. E. church on Tuesday. The meeting was presided J over by Wm. McKenzie of Burie, coun- ty Chief Templar, who briefly addressed the convention as t o the aims and ob- jects of the meeting. The work in the forenoon consisted of the appointment of committees and wisoeilany business. The afternoon session wa s largely and a spirit of interest manifested, which re- sulted in twenty two members joining tbe county Lodge, Toe following del- egates from Burke were in attendance: Grace Wflmarth, Marcus (Jostle, Myron B. Douglas, Roy Child, G. Fenton. The selection of a place for holding the next county convention wa s left with the executive committee. In th e evening the meeting was beM in the Presbyterian church which was addressed by the Rev. Mr. Gurney o f Clayton, mention o f which is made in another column.
