Greatly Pleased W ith \T h e Smiling 27th Division” and Its Camp, Camp W adsw o rth was honored by a visit from United States Senator Jam e s W, W ads worth of New York recently. Senator W adsw o rth inspected the camp thoroughly. He had only words of high praise for the men and camp conditions. Senator W adsw o rth is a veteran of the New York N ational Guard and is a keen student of m ilitary m a tters, so his opinion has more w eight than th a t of an ordinary civilian. The Senator was particularly pleased with the spirit of the men. Even the kitch en police were smiling, he observed. He suggested that the 27th Division be called “the Smiling Division” because of .the good cheer that prevailed everywhere. “I don’t need to be a doctor to see th a t the men are in splendid shape physically,” Senator W a d sw o rth said. “I think the Di vision is ready to undertake the most trying field work at short notice.” WE ARE W E LL INSURED. Men of 27th Division Already Insured For More Than $165,000,000. - More than 20,000 officers and enlisted men of the 27th Division have taken out insur ance for approxim ately $165,000,000 accord ing to the latest figures. Men in the Divi sion do not realize how much work caring for this insurance will involve. N e ither do they realize w h a t a job it is to handle some 30,000 allotm e n t blanks. Yet these insurance and allotm e n t blanks are being taken care of by officers and enlisted men detailed from various units v it bout a flurry. T h e y ’ll have to change (be old simile, “Busy as- a B eehive” to “Busy as a T raining Camp.” Li (nit. Douglas P. Walker. 106th Fluid Artillery, 2nd Lieut. Roy G.
