Here's a welcome change of pace meal. Combine two cups of chopped chicken (-in bite- sized pieces) with 2 cups diced celery, 2 teaspoons grated onion. 1'3. teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons lemon juice and 12 cup mayonnaise. Sautee ‘2 cup of walnuts in 1 tablespoon butter or margarine for 15 minutes. Drain. Add to chicken mix~ ture. Deep pink sweetheart roses formed the bouquet of Miss Su- z.a.nne‘S. A Watteau panel graced the back of the modified A-line skint. Her satin bow headpiece had a face veil. Wed In Trinity The marriage 01 Miss Pat- ricia Ann Knapp and Jessie David Watters, Jr.was solemnized Jan- uary 16th in Trinity Evangel- ical United Brethern Church, Whitehaven Road. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Sylvan Knapp of Wallace Drive and the late Mr. Knapp. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Watters. Sr. of Carol Lane. In a small bowl. mix 2 cups crushed potato chips and 1/2 cup grated Cheddar cheese. Put half of potato chip mixture in -bottom of but- tered baking dish. Add chicken mixture and top re- maining potato chips and cheese. Bake for 10 minutes at 450 degrees. Chill until required. Wipe and split kidneys and remove cores, skin and any mem- brane. Toss these and the cut»up meat in a paper bag with flour, salt and pepper. Brown steak in hot fat, then saute kidneys with it for a few minutes. Remove to heart-shaped baking dish that holds 1 quart. Add onions to pan with more shortening if needed, and brown lightly. Then add herbs and flour and brown well. Add bouillon and wine and cook 2-3 minutes, until thickened. Taste to correct seasonimz. then pour over meat and ‘kidneys. Roll out the pastry 11;.\ wider than top of pie dish. Cut a 13” strip around the outside of rolled out pastry, trimming ragged edge. Lay large piece of pastry over meat to form top crust. Roll edges under. pressing tightly to outside top edge of pan. ‘Brush pastry edxre with water. Twist the thin strip into a rope, and lay around edge of pie. pressing: into other crust.
