Really, these Graham Cracker cookies are deligh tfully different and so easy to make. You bake them in a flat pan and cut while hot. They are exceptionally good and are really a n excellent con- versation piece. Your guests can never guess what the ingredients are. Graham Cracker Cookies 2 cups graham cracker crumbs 1 can condensed milk one-half package of chocolate dots 1 tablespoon water 1 handful of coconut. Stir all together and pour into well-greased pan. Bake at 325 de- grees for about 35 minutes. Cut in cookie size while hot. Children * s Work Disp lay April 20 At River Avenue The River Avenue School Par- ent-Teacher Assocation will meet next Thursday and the program for the evening wil l featu re the \Children ' s Work Display \ . The doors will be opened at 7:30 p. m. so that parents may visit their children ' s rooms, look over samples of th ei r work , and discuss any prob- lems that may exist with the ' teach- er. At 8:30 p. m., the bell will be rung, announcing the beg inning of the business meeting in the cafe- teria. The PTA president , Mrs. Charles Rohde , reports thc. t River Avenue- is partici pating in a project spon- sored by the National Congress of Parents and Teachers. This pro- gram aims to hel p educate children in foreign countries , and is hand- led through \CARE\ . The educa- tional kits purchased by the River Avenue PTA , two in number , consist of first , a classroom equi pment, kit containing a pencil sharpener , blackboard erasers , com- passes , six rulers , a world map, and the necessary equipment to construct a blackboard. The second kit contains four dozen pencils , a gross of chalk , 12 boxes of cray- ons , Scotch tape , and ei g ht reams of paper. These packages are to be sent to some remote area in a South American country, where it is im- possible to educate the children be- cause of the lack of school supp lies. Mrs. Rohde also announced that the National Parent-Teacher Ma- gazine is being sent to an educator overseas , so that people of other eoun triesyand cultures [may be given a tru e picture of American famil y and community life , and to spread abroad the American concept of voluntary service in the communit y and of the cooperative relationshi p between family and school. Plans for the sixth grade trip will be discussed at the forthcom- ing meeting. The Saturday Morn- ing Movie , \Dumbo \ , will be shown at 10 a. m. Saturday in the River Avenue School auditorium .
