Girl Scout Troop 37 of Ridge started their third Scouting year at the Ridge School September 21 from 2:30 to 4 p. m. On the agenda for the first meeting was the annual election of officers. Susan Becht of Panamoka was elected troop scribe; Anita Lom- bardo of Shirley, treasurer ; Ma- rion Bennens of Panamoka , first reporter for the troop scrapbook. Frances Carmello , Leslie Taylor and Patricia Higgin were selected tc assist her. Election of patrol leaders was postponed to the next week' s meeting. Other Girl Scouts present were Gilda Anastasi , Helen Gioquinto , Linda Ignaczak , Bar- bara Komarowski , Edith Barsch and a newcomer , Kathy Cyron , who transfe r red from Troop 7 , Smithtown. Mrs. Janet Grubeis is in charge of the follow- ing cubs at Den 1: William Tyree , Michael Quinn , Bill y Neater , Franz Nicolay, Carl Schock , George Gru- l.e , William Smith , Kevin Mc Ma- han , John La Flair and Peter Viana. Den 2 also had its pack meeting at the home of the Den Mother , Mrs. Arthur Alberts on Ridge Road. Cubs belonging to Den 2 are Gregory Alberts , Ray- mond Borelli , Kenneth Spegele , Michael Biana , Dennis Ramshaw , R&sario Lazzaro. John Mooney was absent. The Cubs ' Theme for this month is \Good Citizenship \ which was discussed in both dens. The boys in Den 1 p lanned acti- vities to be carried out in the next three months while Den 2 started an extended project con- structing a Liberty Bell. Both dens had refreshments and played games.
