County Supervisors Authorize a Tax Map Study By Dennison RIVERHEAD—Studies looking to the eventual preparati on of a Suffolk County tax map were authorized Monday by the Board of Supervisors at its .semi-monthly session here. At the insistence of the four- man Republican minority, however , the resolution adopted on motion of Supervisor Henry II. Tuthill of Southold specifies that the pre- liminary p lanning shall be accom- plished without cost or obligation to the county. One of the questions to be de- termined in the survey, which will be carried out b y county planners under the direction of County Executive II. Lee Dennison , is the probable cost of mapping all real estate holdings in Suffolk. This has been variously estimated at five to ten million dollars. The resolution -states that one of the county ' s most urgent needs is \ a legal tax map for proper as- sessment purposes , for general planning work , for design of sur- face drainage , for design of pub- lic sewage disposal facilities and for the study of fresh water re- sources. \ Mr. Dennison is empowered \to prepare a preliminary tax map plan for submission to the State Board of Equalization and Assess- ment for its advice and approval , all without the expenditure of county f utulx and without incur- ring any obligation on the part of the county. \ Navy League Council Charter D inner Set For Tomorrow Ni g ht A newly formed organization to be known as Suffolk County Council , Navy League of the United States , has elected the following temporary officers : J.
