Another old house in the com- munity was burned to the ground last week by the Centereach Fire Department to make room for more business progress. It was the old homestead on Middle Country Road , adjoining the Hriggs Diner property. Many in the community will remember it as the old Am- brose Gould property. In recent years the Briggs family have cut the old homestead in half , moving half to the rear of the property and building a diner on the Middle Country part. C, February 29. The two young men will undergo 12 weeks of recruit training at Parris Island , then will be trans- ferred to Camp Lejeune , N.
