The library is open from 2 to 5 p. m. every day, and from G to 9 p. ni. on Tuesday and Thurs- day. Mr. Price came to the United States from England in 1953, an( ] began designing dinnerwaie pat- terns for the American market. In 1956 he went back to England and designed for the textile indus- try there. He now does free lance work for Wcdgewood and designs special is- sue and commemorative ware. Commemorative ware is very po- pular with universities and col - leges , which sell mugs and plates to students and alumnae. According to Mr. Price , the trend in this country is toward Early -American designs. Ho has recently finished an adaptation of Paul Re- vere ' s engraving for the \Boston H owl. \ Thi s was especially created b y Shv eve , Crump and Low Com- pan y from etchings b y Alan Price. In a similar vein , he is working on \Philadelphia Vi ews . \ for Waii- namakcrs , and a \United States \ I . owl which will contain the seal of the l. 'i ori ginal stales and por- trait s of early presidents such as Wa shington , Lin coln , Jeffers o n nnd Jackson. • E nr the exhibit , Mr. Pri ce hopes to obtain some of his original drawin gs aud engraving pulls from En gland. These have been reduced photographicall y and the reduction transferred to a copper engraving plate which is worked on by hand. The transfe r is then taken from th e engraving, and p la ced on china. Mr . Price , wh o liv es wi t h his wife and son in a house on the h ay, aspires to devote more time to painting. His studio overlooks 'h e waterfront , one of his favorite subjects as a painter.
