Legion Asks State Continue Rest Camp Members of the Suffolk County American Legion , meeting in Pat- ch og \ ue Friday night , called for continued state support of a veterans rest camp being consider- ed for use as a work camp for juvenile offenders. The Legionnaires passed a resolution calling on Gov . Rocke- feller to keep Camp MacGregor near Glens Falls as a free con- valescent care center for veterans. The state provides $750 , 000 an- nually for the camp ' s operation. The county meeting also called upon local posts to ask their state legislators to push the Legion campaign. HOSPITAL BENEFIT—BE E Brookhaven Memorial hospital administrator , left , and Salvatore J. Romeo , Patchogue village clerk , right , purchase first tickets to Brook- haven-South Haven hospital auxiliary unit ' s benefit night show which will be held December 30 at Patchogue Theatre.
