One kitcnen touel for the new church kitchen is the admission to an evening of fun. ¦j' a * RONKONKOMA SCHOOL NEW S Election of officers held at the April meeting of the Ronkonko- ma Parent-Teacher association resulted in the following slate : Charles Smith , p resident; Mrs. Robert Herdman , vice president; Edward Hauselbauer , secretary; Mrs. Josep h Fragapane , treas- urer. All parents registering chil- dren for kindergarten lor the school term starting in Septem- ber have been requested to be in the auditorium not later than 9 a. m. May 25 , when the children will be examined by the school doctor. During the PTA meeting, Prin- cipal Walter Zakary thanked the members for the education fihn- strips which had been donated to the school. Plans were made for the \ spring card and game party which will be held May 28 in the school. Dates for the Gymnastic exhi- bition and the concert given by the students of the school each year , will be announced at a later date. Miss Marie Bruno was guest- of-honor at a bridal shower given April 13 by Miss Ann Cendrowski in her home on Avenue A. Miss Bruno , the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bruno of Hawkins avenue , will become the bride of Harold Lass in St. Joseph' s R. C. churc h May 15. The living room of the C endrowski home was gayly decorated with shower mo- tifs , the center of attraction be- ing a large white umbrella un- der which Miss Bruno ' s many beautiful shower gifts w e r e p laced. After the packages were opened , a buffet supper was serv - ed. A bridal cake , baked by the hostess and copied from a design in a recent copy of Good House- keep ing magazine , was an at- tractive part of the table decora- tion. Guests were the bride ' s mother and aunt , Mrs. Louis Bruno and Mrs. James Bruno; the hostess ' mother , Mrs. An- drew Cendrowski , and fellow em- p loyes in the National Bank of Lake Ronkonkoma where the bride-to-be is employed. Clarence Badman came down from Lake George last week to visit friends and rela- tives here. Both Mr. and Mrs. Badman spent their childhood and the first years of their marriage in Lake Ronkonkoma. They moved about 20 years ago to Lake George where Mr. Badman became a fores t ranger. John Bersey of Michigan and Locust streets , the Lake , gave a birthday party in her home Friday afternoon in honor of the first birthday of her grand- son , Arthur O. Oliveri , Jr. , Baby Arthur lives with his parents in Patchogue.
