There will be a Father-and-Son dinner at the Brookhaven school at 7 p. m. tomorrow for Boy Scouts and Cubs and their fathers. tEach Scout and Cub will entertain his father or a man friend. Members of the Scout and Cub committees will be present. Table decorations and place cards will be made and ar- ranged by the Cubs. Supper will be served by the Brookhaven Mothers ' club. The p ublic is invited to the program at 8 p. m. when awards will be made and the charter presented. Movies will be shown later by Alex Kosenkranius. About 150 people attended the very successful dance given by the local firemen Saturday night. The door award , 10 gallons of gasoline , was given to Frank Hermus of Bellport. The Ambulance corporation at its monthly meeting last week voted to contribute $10 to the Suffolk County Council , Boy Scouts of America , and $10 to the American Red Cross. A film showing the history of railroad- ing and a colored picture of a trip to Mexico , which had been obtained from the Pennsylvania Rail Road company by Anthony Majestic , were shown by Alex Kosenkranius. \Three little girls from school , \ Lucia Nelson , Linda Gemmell and Jan Ranken , aided the March of Dimes by giving a puppet show last Thursday, the proceeds of which they contributed to the Polio fund. The play was given in the basement of the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Gemmell of South Country road and was attended by many of the school children. Mr. and Mrs. John R. Ince of Burnett' s lane were hosts at a supper party for about 30 guests Saturday night in honor of Mrs. Ince ' s sister , Mrs. David Page Cof- fin , who is leaving tomorrow for Japan. Mrs. Coffin , with her son , David , Jr., will join her husband , a vice consul fn the American foreign service and stationed at Kobe where he is studying Japanese. Mr. Coffin left several months ago but his family had to wait for Army clear- ance. Mr. and Mrs. Foster Overton celebrated their silver wedding an- niversary with several parties this week. Last Friday night they enter- tained the CODS club members and their husbands at a turkey dinner at their home. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Campbell , Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Smith , Mr. and Mrs .
