The game, originally scheduled to be played at Wolcott, is being moved to North Rose to accomo date the large crowd expected for the holiday game. Last Friday Wolcott, leading 41-40 at the half at Red Creek, fell behind in the final two per iods and lost 85-68. Mike Me Ginn was high scorer for W'ol cott. W'olcott was scheduled *o, play at Marion Tuesday. The Tigers lost their first game of the season last Friday to Lyons, GG-47. The Tigers had a cold shooting hand along with many costly turnovers to trail Lyons 37-17 at the half. They improved their shooting and ball-handling to stay with the tall Lyons team in the second half. Ron Loveless led the T i gers, scoring 13 points and d ir ecting the attack. The T igers were scheduled to play W'ayne at North Rose Tuesday. Their makeup game with W illiamson will be played at Williamson on Jan. 5. A request has been made to State legislators Joseph Finley and Ted Day to submit a bill to recover the $4,237.71 ln the state aid the district lost because of the bomb threats last year, Su perintendent ltobert Helmer told the North Rose-W’olcott School Board at their regular meeting last week. The State Education Depart ment Informed the district re cently that that was the amount of state aid they would lose be- c a u s e the Commissioner was “ legally unable to excuse’’ th* days of school (and, as a result, the state aid) lost last year due to the threats. The Education Department’s Division of Law suggested to the district that lt try to recover the aid through such a bill. The board approved a regula tion that prohibits the driving of motorcycles and snowmobiles on school property because con siderable damage has been done to lawns and property and be cause of the safety problem in volved. The board received the resig nation of M rs. Ethel McAllis ter, sixth grade teacher in the North Rose Elementary School, effective Jan. 31. She is retir ing after 34 1/2 years In tea ching, including 24 1/2 at North Rose. She graduated from North Rose Central School, the Han nibal Training C lass and Oswego Normal School. The bid, for $4,181 from International Har vester of W'olcott, was accepted. The board also discussed the first draft of possible by-laws and the temporary heating at the new high school. It was also noted to the board that the Rochester Hospital Ser vice recently Informed the dis trict that they had received ap proval to Increase their pre mium rates effective Jan. 1,1971. The increased rate will add $19.76 for single and $54.34 for family coverage per year. Seventy per cent of this increase will be charged to the school district with the remaining 30 per cent to be paid by the employe. There are sufficient funds in the bud get for the rest of the 1970-71 school year to take care of the Increase, the board was told. Adjustable in length, the stretcher folds into a compact unit for carrying in a truck. It comes apart in two pieces so that each piece can be worked under a patient and then locked with the other, allowing the pa tient to be carried off without being moved onto a conventional stretcher. Also displayed at the meeting was a new power saw recently purchased with money left from the Squad Truck Fund and a donation from W'olcott Post 881 of the American Legion.
