The assessment of taxes to be inado by the provisions of this act, shall be based by the said board of supervisors upon the assessment roll, returned by the town assessors to-said board next preceding tho moeting at which said tax shall be laid, and upon the examina- tion, alteration, correction and equalization made by the said board of tho said assessment rolls, and rill other provisions of law, (oxcopt as herein otherwise provided) in reference to tho action of the board of supervisors in tho imposing and assessing of taxes, shall-apply to the action of the said hoard under this ac- tion. $10. To each assessment roll, delivered to a collector, of the tax or taxes imposed by this act, shall bo annexed a warrant, under the hands and seals of the board of supervisors!, or a majority of them, commanding suoh coKuctor to collect from tlio several persons named in tho assossment roll, the several sums mention- ed in the IHSJ; column of such roll, opposuVto their respective names.
