SARDINIA NEWS Mrs. Benjamin West has been on the sick list the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Andrews of Olean have been the guests of Mrs. J. D. Carney and Miss Anna An drews, the past week. Mrs. Clara Blanchard is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin West. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Harrison and son were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. Harrison, tone past week. Mr. and Mrs. William Hopkins, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wood were guests of friends in Rochester over the week end. Mrs.Bertha King and children, Ada and Millard, of Delevan were called to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Milo Wilson by the serious illness of Mr. Wilson, Saturday. James and Edward Hargrave were guests of Lawrence Rupert, Sunday and Monday. Mrs. Hattie Pitcher is spending a few days with her sister, Mrs. Ohas. Leonard, of Elton. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Proctor and Mr., and Mrs. William Bridgman and friends and Mr. and Mrs. Clausson were in town for the week-end. Mrs. Lena Bridgman was in town to attend the Briggs reunion which was held at the Community Hall. Henry of Sardinia, N.*Y., has been visiting her sister, Mrs. Merle Greatwood. Mr. Grant Silliman and family have motored to the Adirondacks for two weeks. Mrs. P. Guenther has been on the sick list. Dr. Vaughan of Arcade has been in attendance. Dr. William Petpiett's wife and son of Lockport, N. Y., have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. Feagles the past week. Mrs. R. A. Feagles of Lockport, who has been visiting her son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. E. Feagles, has returned to her home in Lockport. Mrs. Frank Wing motored to Jamestown with her son, Merle, last week. CHURCH Mr. and Mrs. George Prior were in Rushford, Thursday to see Dr. Hardy. Stewart Pingrey of Gowanda was here Thursday and called on num erous friends. Cecil Goss and family visited his sister and family in Webster over the week-end. Oscar Blackman has been quite ill. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Barrows and mother were week-end guests of Fred Unger and family. Miss Ruth Griffith is spending her vacation at home. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Metcalf and family and Mr. and Mrs. Dell Met calf were Sunday guests of Earl Frank and family in Abbott. C. L. Pixley and family visited in Franklinville, Sunday. C. A. Pierce painted the school house this week. The Pedro Club was entertained at the home of Edd Francis, Tuesday evening. Favors were won by Clara •Metcalf and Fern King and Vern and Duval King. The pulpit of the church will be supplied Sunday by Rev. Oliver. The Pastor is called away to preach for a former colleague. Mr. Oliver is an able preacher and will doubtless draw an interesting audience. The usual morning and evening services will be held with Epworth League at 6:30 p. in. The 1st of September the fall pro gram of church activities will be re sumed. FARMERSV1LLE The first Barnard-reunion was held Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Barnard in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Baun, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Fogg and Mr. and Mrs. Roy!
