Holt was on the mound for South Wales and only allowed five hits. Scripter was the star batter of the game, gathering in three hits, one being a_ homer. Goodemote were held at the home of 4ie.r late residence on the corner of Childs street and Myrtle avenue, Springville, Sunday afternoon. Th e services were conducted by th e Rev. Burton M. Clark, pastor of th e Meth odist Episcopal church. Mrs. Goodemote was born on March 9K, igfig, ;„ fh* Tnwn nf Ashford. She passed to her eternal home on Wednesday, July 14, 1926. On December 31, 1885, she was united in- marriage to Mr. Ja y P. Goodmote. She was the daugh.ter of Martin and Mary Wasson. Th e par ents of Mr. and Mrs. Goodemote on both sides of the family were among the early pioneer settlers in this part of th e Empire jState and were among the hardy heroes and heroines who helped to reclaim the soil from prim al conditions and by discipline and arduous labor, mad* their contribu tions toward laying the foundations of Democracy in the New World. Those were the days o f hardy ro mance and empire building. Mrs. Goodemote was one of a fam ily of fourteen children of whom the following brothers and sisters sur vive her : Wallace, Charles, Allen Eu gene, Henry, William, Emma and Ad - die. She is also survived by her hus band, Mr. Jay P. Goodemote, an d two sons, Harold J. of Chaffee, N . Y., and Curtis Paul of Springville, and one grandson, Gage, of Chaffee, N . Y. KUHN REUNION The first of the Kuhn reunions was held July 11, 1926, at the old family homestead a t Hollaijd, now owned by one of th e brothers. A very bountiful repast was served on tables set under the wide spread ing branches of - the old maple tree. Many a long forgotten tale was told, and a very pleasant time was enjoy ed by all.
