Fred Demmingr was the guest of Ids sister, Mrs. Charles Rider, a few days the past week. Rev. Burnett spent a few days in Honoye Falls, the past week. Mr. and Mrs. William Mercer of Ellicottville and Mr. and Mr. Orla Lewis of Attica were guests of Mr. and Mrs v Ceylon Meyers, Decoration day. Mrs. Lena Bridgman and William Bridgman and wife, Mrs. Ira Proc tor of Buffalo, were guests of Mrs. Hattie Pitcher and Floyd Rogers over the week-end. Mrs. Swartz and son, Stanley, of Brockton, Mass., were callers at the home of Mrs. J. S. Simms and family, Friday. Mrs. Clara Marsh Butler and daughter, Crystal, of Buffalo were callers at the home of Mrs. Hattie Pitcher, Saturday. Mrs. Dora Simons and daughter, Helen of Franklinville were guests of Mrs. J. S. Simons and family, a few days the past week. Mrs. Cramer and daughter of Buf falo were guests -of Mrs. Jennie Gin ter and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Good rich, on Friday. Charles Cross and family of Erie, Pa., were the guests of George Cross and family, over Decoration day. Rev. Fred W. Bolender and Mor tice Bolcnder and wife of Limestone were at their home here, over the week-end. Wesley Pitcher spent a few days at home, the past week. iMrs. Margaret Templetdn and family spent a few days at the farm, over Decoration day. Mr. and Mrs. W. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Harrison of Buf falo 'and Mr, and Mrs. Sweetapple of Colden were week-end guests of Albert Harrison and family. COLDEN VILLAGE Mrs. Hiram Jameson spent last Friday in Buffalo. Miss Idelle Keller spent Wednes day in Buffalo. Our base -ball team defeated the Dodgers team from Buffalo, in a game dn the Colden ball grounds on Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Knapp, Jr., of this place, accompanied by his fath er, mother, two brothers, sister and niece of Buffalo, spent Monday at Olean. Gas was struck Saturday evening on Mr. Earl Langford's farm (Bet ter known as the Thomas Upham farm). This is the second well of gas found in the last three months in the vicinity of Colden Village. Seymour O'Dell and family of Erie, Pa., Miss Essie O'Dell and Lu- cile Phillippi of Batavia were recent guests of relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Knight were called to Elton by the serious illness of Mr. Knight's father, Mrs. Royal Phillippi and daughters of Blasdell were week-end guests at the James Wheelock home. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Davis have returned after a month's absence. Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Hillman and daughter, Llnis, were in Bergen, over Sunday. Mrs. Jennie Wilkins of Curriers is at the Charles Barber home. Mr. and Mrs. Arden Chatley, son William, Mr. and (Mrs. Walter Ad- lam and children of Blasdell, N,.
