EMORY AND CHESTNUT - RIDGE PARK IMPROVEMENTS Rapid progress has marked the work of the Erie County Park Com mission in the development of Chest nut Ridge and Emory Park v They were -open to the use of the public during the summer, a few weeks after the title was obtained to the land. Development is now under way of the park at Lancaster, so that it may be used for winter sports. Chestnut Ridge is equipped with, shelters, oven, tables and other con veniences required by outing and picnic parties. A large .casino is under construc tion; paths ihave been built; glens, bridges and circular drives are be ing completed in the Graves woods, and Grace woods, Emory Park, in ad dition to the facilities to be found at Chestnut Ridge Park, has a special feature in the playground for the children. Provision for amusement in which children deligb t have been made there, including a wading pool. Garages are to be built at both of ] the parks and gasoline stations will be installed in the Spring. SUPERVISOR ROBERTS OFFERS PRIZE Mr. W. A. Roberts, chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Wyoming County, offers to give a barrel of flour to the Farm Bureau committee man who turns in the largest num ber of- members during the campaign whieh^ends November 10. It occurred to Mr. Roberts that this might add some interest to the Farm Bureau campaign for members and he decided to offer his prize.
