In an outside belt, elegantly embroidered, he Wore a superbly jeweled revolver, .war-- ranted to be useful as a weapon at long range, in the hand of a self fcollecied man resting under safe shelter. As to other personal furniture, hia comfortable figure waa adorn- ed with a fine gold watch, possess- ing a national reputation for beauty and value throughout the republic of Mexico, and a hat covered w,ith £old lace and bangles that made it the envy of all the beaux in town.
