Conviction by a jury on a con tem p t charge could bring a jail sentence. Rep. Me Dowell iR-Pori, ch rirm a n of the sub-committee, and Rep. N ixon iR-Calif), the other m em b e r at the hearing, agreed th a t Peters should be cited for contem pt.
