Dundee Slo-Pitch by John C. Popowich, Jr. The season’s over - but the war’s only begun! Last week marked the end of the regular season for Dundee Slo-Pitch teams, but the war has only begun. For the next two weeks, the seven teams will battle it out in play-offs to discover who will become the league champs. The action for the last weeks of regular play stacked up as follows: Monday saw Allens defeat Chorleys 6-4; Tuesday witnessed the Seneca Juicers struggle to a victory over Coveils 2-1 and Covells edge Allens 6-5 in 8 innings. On W a H_ See Ed Palmer Dundee, NY 607-243-7515 nesday, there was only one game, as Chorley completely crushed the Juicers 15-2. Speaking of Chorleys - they’ll be head ing into the playoffs as the top seated team with a 13-5 record for the season. Look for a real battle (or war) between . the second placers - Covells, Allens and Raceway all finished up with an 11-7 season record. Sounds like those three are really evenly matched. Ditco slides into third with an 8-10 record. In the beginning of the season, they sat on top of the pile. Finally Seneca and ShurFine pulled the old switcheroo, as the Juicers finished with a 6-12 record and ShurFine took a surprising last with a 5-13 record. Watch out as bats start flying.
