Upon motion of Alderman Smith, the reso- lution made at the last meeting of 'the council in regard to amending section 1326 of the city charter be re- considered, but upon motion of Al- derman Coughlin the resolution was laid on the table until some future date. The Decker Hose company report- ed that Augustus Carroll had been admitted to active membership in the company and upon motion of Alder- man Smith the action of the company was confirmed by the council, Upon the motion of Allerman Coughlin, the city clerk was instructed to go to Albany tolay and place the amend- ments that had been passed upon by | the council at a recent meeting and | by the city attorney in proper hands in that city. The decorations were of a patriotic nature, in honor - of Lincoln's birthday, and the program was also in keeping with the day.
