Library Gets Book Plate Lyons—Books donated to the L i brary by the Lyons Civic Club will i now be designated by a clever book plate recently designed by E d ward Beiderbecke of Catherine street, this village, skillful young craftsman and artist. The plate depicts a portion of Lyons, in miniature, from a map made in 1885. clearly showing busi ness streets, the canal and river, location of churches, homes and public buildings. The motto of the Civic Club is portrayed in the m a r gin, “ I like to see a man proud of his city and so live that it is proud of him,” with a facsimile of the signature of the author, Abraham Lincoln. The support of the Library for a long time has been a civic project of the club, which gives over $125 each year for the purchase of books and magazines. Boy Scouts Donate Aid For Needy Wolcott— Christmas baskets are to be distributed to needy fam ilies in Wqlcott, Butler and Huron townships, under a project spon sored by the Business and Profes sional Women’s Club. A meeting was held! Sunday afternoon at Leavenworth Central school, when a list of needy families was pre pared.
