Zenas Clark, President flf i^e. Fcemont Club, in the Chair. H. N.-!Readway- '^en^ Secreta- ry. Though e. regular -weekly, meeting of the Club, it was a large gathering, filling the Town Rouse, and graced by the pres- ence of several Ladies who aitended to bear the speaking. Seventeen, about- pne half, the school districts of the town had- made their re- turns torthe Club and \the aggregate vote of the 17 districts was reported 626 votes of which 61J were for Fremont, and 116 for Fillmore, Buchanan-and doubtful. After tbe business of the Club woe trans- acted a song was called fot from the Pots- dam Glee Club, and a splendid Glee Club it is. The meeting was then addressed by Mr. Pomeroy,. a young gentleman of Pots- dam, who has just completed bis studies in Collfige and returned to his home. Mr. Pomeroy spoke about one hour, and with a power'and eloquence that did credit to his head and his heart. The meeting was also addressed by Mr. P. King, and both the speakers were ap- plauded bythecheers-qftheaudjencp^;, * The meeting was closed with singing by the Glee Club, and adjourned to Friday evening next at half past seven, with three hearty cheers for FREMONT & DAY- TON.
