Board of Supervisors Meet The AVestchester county Board of Supervisors held its regular weekly m eeting Alonday afternoon, Chairm an George AVerner presiding. A communication Avas received .from J. P. Tum ulty, secretary to P r e s ident Wilson, acknowledging the receipt of the resolutions adopted by th e Board of Supervisors fa r e g a r d to the build ing of the proposed R o o sevelt road, and stating th a t they w ill be brought to the attention o f the President. From Assem b lym an C h a rles Vezin, Jr., th a t he had com m u n ic ated the substance of the supervisors’ resolu tion to the office of Dr. Finnegan, the Com m issioner of Education, and was advised th a t the m a tte r tvould he taken tip at the A p ril m e e ting of the Board of Education as to w h e ther or not the question of site far the new norm a l school shall be ro-opened. M o rris, Secretary of the S tate H ighw a y Commission, th a t the plans and specifications and esti m ate o f cost ot the im p rovem e n t of We’stchester avenue, have been revis ed, and a change of construction made from asp h a lt block for a por tion and brick for the rem a ining por tion to cem e n t concrete pavem ent, and also to provide fo r th e present price of labor and co s t of m a terials; also qlans and specifications for the im p rovem ent by state aid of the W e s tchester avenue, in the tow n s of H a rrison and R y e; th a t th e cost of the im p rovem e n t is $55,000, the stato to pay $22,230 and the county $11,. 970. Also the plans fo r th e H a r t’s Corners-W h ite P lains county highway No. 1,370 have been changed, and uoav provide for a 20-foot cem e n t concrete pavem ent in s tead of 16-foot asphalt block on the portion Jn G reenburgh; owing to this revision, an additional appropriation w ill be necessary by the Board of Supervisors to th e ex tent of $10,055.31. AL T h e G reat Q u estion, Hamilton Giee Club Entertains T h e Hamilton Glee Club and dance held in tlie high school on Tuesday- evening fo r the benefit of the high; school crew ivas a trem e n d o iis suc cess. The large crowd w h ich was present w e re greatly pleased w ith th e club's players a n d singers as w e ll a s the dance which followed in the gym nasium. Tho H a m ilton Club, which consti tuted the larg e r part of th e evenings entertainm e n t, is one of th e forem o st musical clubs o f the colleges o f the country. It takes a n extended tour annually throughout th e eastern states and everyw h ere scores a big success. B esides th e singing and playing their program presents a clever monologist, a trio skilled in th e art of harmonizing, a piano jazz artist and a very pleasing tenor. Tho Plaza H o tel of New York, has secur ed this club fo r its final concert o f the season. A t the dance following th e con cert many of t h e faculty, alum n i and student hody attended. The music was furnished by B latchley's high school orchestra. T h e entertainm e n t was held for th e benefit of th e A th letic A ssociation and netted about $90.
