The east and crew of \Oh Dad, Poor Dad, Mam- ma's HungYouln The Closet and rm Feeling So Sad\ are going full steam with an- other absurd and revealing piece of literary drama. \Oh Dad, Poor pad\ is a selection from the \Theater of the Absurd.\ Its author, Arthur Kopit, has been fre- quently compared to other leading contemporary play- wrights such as Pinter, Ionescd, and Becket. The play is about a woman who finds the need to protect her- self through the mechanism of manipulation. The ex- tremes to which her manipu- lation goes is that which makes this presentation absurd, enlightening, and humorous. Part of the uniqueness of this play lies in the variety of_ ;rizations and the perpetual movement of the set and its properties. Two Venus'-Flytraps, one Cuckoo Clock, and a Piranha Fish, all played by actors, further contribute to the strange at- mosphere of this modern production. The play is directed by Peter Mathews and the cast includes the following high school students: Belinda Williams; Shannyn Brown, Melinda Mattison, Oliver Blaise m, Christopher Far- ley, Thomas Maunder, Jenni- fer Eichler, Traci Barber, Marylynn Mattison, Kelley Bundy, Julia Britton, Karie Holcomb, and Noreen O'- Hern. The production will be held on Wednesday, Thurs- day, and Friday, May 4,5 and 6. The Wednesday perform- ance will be free for Senior Citizens. \Well see you inMay,\ said the cast. \Glump said the fish.
