The Dugway UMW met at the home of Mrs. Clyde Can field on Thursday evening. Others present were Mrs. Arestine Spencer, Miss Barbara Walter and Mrs. Myrtis Wiltse. The next meeting will be Thursday, October 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the church house. Amboy Center United Methodist Church services 10:30 a.m. MYF meets first and third Sundays 6:30 to 8 p.m. It wias held this past Sunday night with 10 youth and three adults attending. Congregational and Administrative Board meets fourth Sunday 6:30 p.m. Amboy Center UMW will meet at the home of Mrs. Stanely Faulkner on Tuesday, September 29 at 1 p.m. $145. was cleared from the covered dish supper held at Amboy Center on Friday evening. The MYF is having a spaghetti supper on Friday evening, October 2 at 5:30 p.m., (Price donation). World Wide Communion will be observed on October 4. Church conference will be held at Amboy Center on Monday, October 5. PPR. committee will meet at 4 p.m., supper will be at 5:30 p.m. and the conference at 6:30 p.m. with District Superintendent Garrie Stevens. Mrs. Naomi Duegaw came to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Nash from St. Luke's Home on Tuesday for her birthday. Her daughter, Cheryl Nash, took her to have a permanent in Pulaski, and had a birthday supper fo her that evening, along with birthday cake and ice cream. Mrs. Ron Richards and Michele came for birthday cake and ice cream; also Mr. and Mrs. Shaun Kimball. Pat Duegaw and son, Eric, of Kansas spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Herman Nash and family; also Mrs. Betty Powers of Homer. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Upton were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Upton and family at Geneva for the sixth birthday of Sarah Upton. Mr. and Mrs Clayton Manchester of Auburn and other relatives vere also present. Uames Steinfeld and family of Florida have returned to New York State and are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Robert Steinfeld. We went to calling hours Tuesday night at Watson Funeral Home for Shirley Willis and Don had her funeral at the Amboy Center Church on Wednesday. Financial letters fromt he Dugway UM Church and Maple Lawn Cemetery have been sent out.^760 has come in to date, but we are still r; quite aways from our usual total. Also, Jeanette Gayne and grandson, Seth, called on her mother, Ruth Lawton. Last Saturday, Wendy Lollier and Jon Mitchell took Thelma LeClair and son, Phillip Waterbury, to the Red Lobster Restaurant in North Syracuse for dinner. Today, Thelma LeClair and Phillip are going to Central Square to visit her son. Dale Waterbury, and family. Sunday, Nick Matkoski and myself called on my son, Carl Gareau, and family. Today, the bus goes to Ames Plaza for the bi- monthly shopping trip. This Saturday, members of the Springbrook Association are going to Deere Hill Restaurant for lunch and then ride around to see the fall foliage. Hope we have a nice day. Gain came and mowed the Ballard lawn. Alvin and Dawn Strickland have been to JaiLai several times lately. They won $289.00 one evening and $240.00 another evening so not too bad. Mary and Gladys Ballard were in Palm Bay labor day shopping. Tracy Lawson was in the hospital a couple of days for a minor operation. She returned to her grandmother Evelyn Pyke's home Friday. Mary Ballard attends classes four times a week at Sebastion medical center as a follow-up from her stay there. We are going to have two new homes near us. One back of the Ballard home and one across the street from us. Marlin Ballard made his mother happy with a phone call from Chesapeake, Va. He is coming for a vacation in November along with his wife Ann. Weather is still hot in 90's every day and usual afternoon thunder storms.
