Stowell, Hollis Engaged Sponsors Disabled Ministry Monday, September 28, 1987 Banner Times-Page-21 The members of St. James Episcopal Church in Pulaski have been very concerned about the needs of the disabled in the community. They are considering major improvements to the property to make the church more accessible to disable dpersons. In keeping with this concern, the parish has invited the Rev. Nancy Chaffee, a disabled priest from Dewitt, to preach and celebrate the Eucharist at the 10 a.m. Liturgy on Sunday, October 4. The Rev. Chaffee has multiple sclerosis, and yet is able to function as a full- time priest in the Episcopal Diocese of Central , New York. After the service, the Rev. Chaffee will mix with the congregation at the Coffee Hour. At 11:45, she will meet with the Bible Study Group to discuss the theological and spiritual issues for the disabled. She would very much like it if teenagers participated in this discussion, as well as adult members of the parish. Anyone in the community who is interested in the needs of the disabled is invited to be present at St. James on Sunday, October 4. Pulaski Congregational Church William Hollis and Teresa Stowell.
