The Sandy Creek Central School Board of Education reviewed and unanimously approved the proposed budget for 1987-88, to be presented to voters June 2 and voted on June 3. The $6,219,797 total is $553,214 \more than the current year's.$S,666,583, for a 9 percent over-all increase. Because of the increase in state aid to the local district the proposed tax levy for next year amounts to $1,229,000, an increase of only $55,000 or 4.6 percent over the 1986-87 tax levy. Depending on the equalization rates for the individual towns, which are not designated until August, plus possible increases in accessed valuation of property within the district, the $55^000 increase will translate into a very small increase - or none at all. If there is a small increase in individual school taxes, it will be the first one in five years. The largest single catagorical increase, over $250,000, is shown in instructional salaries, an area where the local district is working to bring teachers' salaries up to a competitive level in relation to other schoot districts in Oswego County. An \Excellence in Teaching\ grant of $87,226 Chamber To Meet The Monthly dinner meeting of the Pulaski-Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce will be held May 26 at the Rainbow Shores Hotel.
