The Many Faces Of Snowbelt Rink Becky Oliver [left] was one of the Pulaski Day Care Center Students that visited the ice rink last week. The crate helps beginners get a feel for the ice. Courtney Beauchamp, [right] shows off her skating style. All of the kids seemed to enjoy the outing, and ptpst indicated that they would like to return. The skating rink, at the Snowbelt Cdffimunity Center is a busy, place this time of year. The rink, located in the Haldane Building, plays a variety of roles. Many hockey games and practices are held there by teams of the Salmon River Hockey Association. On many Sundays, broomball games are held on the ice. On Tuesday and Thursday mornings,, from 9:30 to , i 1 a;m.,~ \open skating- allows parents and pfe-sefcool children to use the rink. Public skating is held each Wednesday, 3 to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 7 to 10 p.m.; and Sunday, 6 to 9 p.m. Skaing is $1. per person and skate rental is $1. a pair. Sharpening is also $1. Family passes are available as well. Winter is the perfect time to utilize one of this area's assets. Open Skating Rules 1 - No food or beverage on ice surface. 2- No tag or horseplay on or off ice surface. 3 -- Absolutely no alcohdl or controlled substances in building. 4 -- No smoking while on ice surface 5 - No climbing on boards or fence. 6 - Not responsible for lost or stolen items. Grange To Hold Meeting Pulaski Grange 730 will be meeting at their hall on Tuesday, March 3 at 8 p.m. There will be light refreshement after the meeting. Our CWA Chairman, Ethel Hilton has just received word that we have a 15 number quota for garment sewing, which contest closes in April. The baking contest for chocolate brownies closes in July. This is to be a \baking from Scratch\ recipe, which must accompany the entry baked in a size 8x8 pan* Our lecturer presented a very interesting program on February 17 honoring veterans. There were clip- pings and memorabilia displays by the Otto Lilleys, Harold Spath and Robert Holt. Two members present who also are DAR members, commented briefly telling how they became eligible through a relative who fought in the Revolutionary War. The DAR and Veterans have also worked hand in hand protecting our country, which is well to remember during this history month. Grange News By Gen Perkins Sandy Creek Grange will be having a meeting on March 2 at 8 p.m. with Overseer, Sybil Cummings in charge. Plans are to be made for a St. Patrick's Day Dinner. It is to be held on March 13 from 4:30 p.m. till all are served. Menu will be Corned Beef and Cabbage with boiled potatoes, carrots and onions, rolls and butter, tea, coffee, milk, cake.
