On February 19 I lost one of my best friends my brother; Nicholas (Mick) Potish 67 of Port Ontario who passed away in the Oswego Hospital. He left us many happy memories. Once again, I have to praise the Ringgold Firemen Rescue Squad, and NOCA for the great job they did, when called (when he was strickened) and the kindness of the doctors, nurses in Oswego Hospital when we lost him. Then most of Mick's friends and neighbors gathered around his family to support; us, bring food and other acts of kindness. What beautiful people, you all are and what a nice neigh- borhood to live in! Funeral Services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Foster- Hax Funeral Home. How can you thank someone as nice as Carl Sr. and Carl Jr. Hax for Helen Zaino, Bobbi Zaino of Landsdale, Penn. and a friend from England were weekend guests of \Mock\ Machemer at Anglers Roost. Percy and Hilda Maxwell had his sister-in-law, Joan Maxwell and friend from Harrisville as guests on Sunday. They stayed for lunch and dinner. Her comforting words gave us all strength and peace for all the coming tomorrows. The following was written by Mick's family: I think Mick's message to all that knew and loved him would be: Do not cry for him, But remember him In-the Spring wy&tv ttteuitftariT turns itfe fragiSnt-eartH^ Sotfhe? vntoS Farmerl Think of hhft when you hear a Child laugh, For the little Children were his Joy! When you feel the gentle rain, Remember this gentle man! When you hear the Chant of an Auctioneer, Mick will be hearing it too, For this was his Great love! He will be with you when the first Autumn leaf falls, and when the first snowflake of a winter storm shows. You will always have his memory, and tuVlove - As you honor him this day, and leave him in God's CareF Death is not' extinguishing the lamp! It is putting out the lamp because the dawn has come. It comforts us and eases the hurt somehow just to know that Mick is safe in God's care now and to know that others care for us and want to help us see this through. It difficult to see beyond the sorrow, but looking back in memory should comfort us tomorrow. Bill and Audre Higby and John Mazur went to see the new car show at Salmon Run Mall in Watertown.
