The Chairman of the, Oswego County Dairy Princess Committee, Darlene Flint, announced that the committee is looking for eligible candidates for the 1987 County Dairy Princess Pageant. Oswego County is one of the 40 counties that participate in the American Dairy Association and Dairy Council, Inc. county dairy princess program each year, as part of ADA-DCs comprehensive milk and dairy product marketing and communication program funded and directed by the New York State Dairy Farmers. ADA-DC is responsible for coordinating the annual state princess pageant on August 13 and 14, 1987. At the state princess pageant, one of the County Dairy Princesses will be named New York State Dairy Princess and wUl receive a $1,000 cash scholarship with the alternate receiving a $500 cash scholarship. Darlene Flint encourages all eUgible candidates or her parents to contact her at 668- 3707. To be a candidate, a girl must be at least a nigh school junior this September, under age 24, never have been married; a member of a diary family; own her own cattle or be the daughter of someone employed fuU-time in a dairy related business. We hope all eUgible young women wUl participate in the Princess Pageant this year. For the month of March only, the Congregational and Administrative Board will meet on Sunday evening, March 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the church. Richard Pero and his son-in- law, Gordon Hoxie, and Gordon's son, also Douglas, Skinner and Donald Wiltse had dinner with the Bishop at Park United Methodist Church on Sunday evening, along with many, many others. Michelle Nash celebrated her birthday Friday by having two friends over and went roller skating and had pizza. Mrs. Karl Trumble stayed overnight Tuesday with her sister, Mrs. June Gardner. Mrs. Alfred Priest has been confined to her home with pneumonia. Ronald Richards and daughter, Michele, went Friday night and stayed until Sunday night with his mother, Mrs. Edith Richards in the North Country who was celebrating her birthday. Stork News - Mr. and Mrs Rick Monk of Connecticut are parents of a son, Andrew Jonathan, born Sunday, February 15, weighing 7 lbs. 4 oz. He joins a brother, Anthony, who was two in September. Mrs. Monk is the former Cathy Steinfeld. Grandparents are Jack Steinfeld and Judy Steinfeld and Leon Monk. Great- grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Bristol and Carl Steinfeld. Sixteen is prevalent in the Upton family. Donald and Mark Upton were both born on March 16, one year apart, Mary Mack was married on March 16 and the late Mary Ulrich's birthday was April 16. Sarah Upton's birthday is September 16.
