The Poe Play Experience by Peter H.Mathews The Altmar-Parish- WUBamstown Senior High School is pleased to an- nounced the appearance of Mark Cole as Edgar Allan Poe. Eleventh and twelfth grade students will witness a series of actor transformations as Mr. Cole sets out on a lively, humorous, poignant, and ultimately tragic journey through the life and times of Edgar Allan Poe, the American poet, short story writer, journalist and editor. This poet's dreams, realities, imaginings and ac- complishments become the source for Mr. Cole's in- terpretation, with the text drawn from the writings of Poe and his contemporaries. Mark Cole is an instructor of theater at the State University of New York at Oswego. He has directed at the Renaissance Faire in Sterling, New York and at the fair at Mt. Hope Winery in Pennsylvania. His rendition of Poe has been performed throughout the country. The Poe play, written by Mr. Cole, is directed by Mr. Ron Medici. Mark Cole's performance is scheduled for Thursday, March 5, at 1:15 p.m. in the APW High School Auditorium.
