One of the comedy acts that performed at the Talent Show, held September 5 at the Pulaski Congregational Churchy was \The Four Yorkshiremen\ portrayed by the Rev. J. Paul Hudson, Roland Felio, Ray Rurey, and Charles Miltigan. The skit was a Monty Python pjece, rewritten by the Rev. Hudson, in which the four relate how tough they had it when they were young, in stories that become more and more exaggerated. [See story, page 91. Ribbon-Cutting Makes It Official WfiSW*^' , .'' ,l »SMFSWy*!Wmi 1 w*. v Two new exhibit halls were dedicated this year at the Oswego County Fair Sandy Creek. Several County Legislators, officers of the Fair Association, and State and County elected officials were on hand for the festivities, including State Senator John McHugh, Sheriff Charles NeUis, Assemblyman Ray Chesbro, Sandy Creek Legislator Jerry Thomas, Legislature Chairman Hollis Iseiin, County Clerk George Williams, and Fair President Wayne Lindsey. Childbirth Classes Classes on preparation for childbirth will again be offered at the Pulaski Medical Center. The classes will be taught weekly on Monday evenings from 7-9 p.m., beginning on October 6 and running to November 10. Anyone interested may register by calling the medical center at 298-6564. The cost of the six-week course is $40. Restoration Discussed Restoration plans for the H. Douglas Barclay Courthouse will be discussed at a public meeting with the Pulaski Historical Society Tuesday, September 16, at 7:30 p.m. at the Courthouse. County Legislator Bruce Soule of Pulaski has arranged the meeting for the historical society. Syracuse architect Joseph Maryak, who designed the renovation plans, will attend the meeting to discuss the Courthouse restoration project. All in- terested persons are invited to attend. Constructed in 1819, the Courthouse also served as an alternate County Clerk's Office until 1851. County records and documents were transported between the Courthouse and the Clerk's Office in Oswego every three years. The building was expanded in 1858 and again in 1887. Today, the building houses judicial chambers and district court offices of the Oswego County Court, satellite offices of the County Health Department and Veterans' Service Agency, and town and village offices. Ag Fair Planned The 11th Annual Agricultural Community Fair will be held Friday evening and all day Saturday, Sep- tember 19 and 20, at the Belleville-Henderson Central School, Belleville. A large crowd is hoped for Friday evening, to see and enjoy Pulaski's own Salmon River Boys, who will be playing for round and square dancing. Also performing for your entertainment will be the North Country doggers. All this is free entertainment for the public, with a special invitation to Senior Citizens. Friday evening small exhibits will be entered and judged in the school cafeteria. Everyone, young and old, may enter their homemade baked goods, home canned, sewing, art and crafts, etc.. The school PTO organization as well as Girl Scouts, 4-H members and others will be selling all sorts of foods, lunches etc. The exhibits open on Saturday on the school grounds at 9:30 a.m., with the Baby Show at 10 in the school, auditorium. The Second Annual Bell Tower 5 K Run will start from the Belleville-Henderson Central and is sponsored by Lape Apple Acres, Mexico. New this year will be the Mile Fun Run, where anyone can enter. Cattle are to be in place at 11 a.m. the day of the fair at the bus garage with the show at noon. From noon until 2 p.m., the Belleville firemen and auxiliary will have a chicken barbeque at the fireball. During the af- ternoon, activities planned are DOR Obedience Demonstrations, a tashion show, games, which include a pie eating contest, egg toss and watermelon seed spitting contest and, of course the Donation drawing.
