The \man\ was originally taken down for repainting, and another sign was installed. However, so many customers complained about the new sign, Vito's manager Joe Harris explained, it was decided to return the \pizza man\ freshly repainted, to the Jefferson Street Shop. Offers Free Workshop Syracuse area residents can attend a free workshop for small businesses, Gary H. Matthews, District Director for the Buffalo District Internal Revenue Service announced. The workshop will be held at the Federal Building, 100 South Clinton Street, Room 541 in Syracuse, on August 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. •'We have designed the workshop for people who have recently gone into business or are considering starting their own business\ Mr. Matthews said. Among the topics which will be discussed are recor- dkeeping, types of business organizations, employment taxes, as well as income tax returns. Mrs. Edith Young of Georgetown spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Willard Ellis and Mr. and Mrs. Cregg Stanton and family. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Carnahan of Fort Pierce, Florida were Friday af- ternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Chelson Sayer. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Womack and son, Jason, of Erieville visited Mr. and Mrs. Chelson Sayer Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Bradford Sayer and sons, Chrstopher and Scott, of Pittsford spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Chelson Sayer. Mr. Richard Ackley of Rome spent Saturday with Mrs. Raymond Ackley. Sympathy to the family of Mrs. Alice Sampson who passed away Monday. For reservations call 343-5138. Albion Cross Roads By Neva Robinson Saving babies is our goal! Dawn Robinson spent the weekend with her folks, Harold and Neva Robinson. We have another great- grandson, Mitchell Phillips, who will be celebrating his sixth birthday August 25. Mitch is the son of Rhonda and Gary Phillips. Saturday, little Matt Robinson spent the day with his Gramp and Gram Robinson while his folks attended a funeral. Claiff and Irene Craig stopped in Saturday morning for coffee and doughnuts on their way up to see Stanley and Marion Bennett. Howard Tousley came home from the hospital Thursday feeling better. Bill and Daryol Stevens from Syracuse stopped in for a chat on their way home, they had been over visiting the Warren Gardners. Merle Cobb of Central Square came over visiting us Robinson Saturday af- ternoon and stayed for supper with us. Nickie Robinson and Lisa Sabine have been spending the summer with Leon Kellar. Nicki has been going to summer school. Doug and Sue Haynes were up Saturday and picked some of their vegetables to take home and freeze. Deanne and Dave Man- waring came home from Derrick last night (Monday) and stopped in long enough to see Doug and Harold chase a bat. Sue went under the table and Deanne went out the door. Harold stood in the doorway so he wouldn't go in the front room. Doug didn't want it to get in his hair so he grabed a towel and put it over his head and one swat with the fly swatter and down went Mr. Bat. It was a circus around here fr» a awhile. Then we continued on with our card game and Doug won trip game. Leon Kellar, Nicki Robinson, and Lisa Sabine spent Saturday at Old Forge. Little \Mitch\ Phillip spent one day and night last week with Gramp and Gram Phillips. ^\ Springbrook District By M.E. Pratt Mr. and Mrs. Mark Stalker from Rockford, Texas called on Wayne and I briefly last Monday. They had dinner with Sylvia Kinney. Mrs. Stalker visited several people she knows in our building. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Pratt called on Mr. and Mrs. Roy Blankshain recently. We also had Sunday dinner with our son, Doug, and family. The Entertainers went to- Eastern Star Home last Thursday at Oriskany in Sandy Creek bus with Charles Summerville, our driver. There were 27 people who went. After entertaining the ladies, we had dinner at Trinkaus Manor. Was in very heavy rain storm while there, held up one-half hour before starting for home. Sun was shining when we got home. We attended Sandy Creek- Orwell Senior Citizens meeting last Friday p.m. Went over to Mexico and called on Beulah Rose. We took her with us for supper at EZ Truck Stop at Maple View. We accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Doug Pratt and children to our daughter Gloria's home in Syracuse where we all celebrated my birthday with Mr. and Mrs. James Pratt and son, Joshua, and Dick's boys. Talked on phone with grandson Michael in Wyoming. Later in p.m. went to Pompey where Dick Young is working on the new home he and Gloria are building. Nice location, beautiful view, but a little too far for us old folks. Anna Row had Sunday dinner with her son and wife Charlotte in Lacona. They also entertained several other guests and relatives. Mary Ballard and Dawn Strickland were shopping in Melbourne Saturday. Gain Luke and Louis Stowell have called on the Ballards several times. Thomas Strickland also came to mow the Ballard's lawn. Rodney Luke also called on Grandma Ballard and Mary Monday evening. Gladys Ballard celebrated her birthday Saturday very quietly at home. I received lots of nice presents and phone calls from New York and Virginia and lots of nice cards and letters. Dawn Strickland and son, Rodney Luke, both have their birthday the same day, August 6. Mary and Gladys Ballard are enjoying a new colored television purchased this week. Still hot, humid and sticky- not much rain.
