Maude's Memo Redfield Village Walker Honored Mr. Robert Cornell is a patient at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital, Syracuse. Bob had surgery and was in I.C.U. for a few days. Mrs. Peg White of Williamstown was taken to the hospital by NOCA on June 13, 1986. Dave Hara found Peg in her home very ill. She was still unconscious at this writing June 16. Mrs. Connie Mother sell is recuDerating nicely at home. She enjoyed her cards and appreciates all her visitors now that she is able to talk alittle again. She plans to be back driving bus by June 23. Gregg L. Harvey and Amy L. Chapman were united in marriage at the Wesleyan Church in Brookdale, NY on Saturday, June 14, 1986 at 1 p.m. They had a reception following the ceremony in the little old school house right next door to the church. Best man was Kevin Harvey with Shawn Montieth was an usher. Michele Harvey was a Bridesmaid. The bride's dress was made by the bride and the bride's maids dresses were made by the bride and her sister. There were 39 family members from here that travelled to Brookdale for the wedding. Francis \Beaver\ Bartlett broke his arm June 15, 1986. Mrs. Karen Cole was home visiting her parents on Father's Day weekend. Trevor Jones is home and well. He was released from the hospital June 11,1986. Flagg \Bud\ Smith has reported that Randy and Karen's infant son is home now. He was born Memorial weekend with fluid on the brain. He underwent surgery three times his first week are still performing tests and watching the baby very closely. The Redfield Square has horse shoe pits in operation now. They have teams that throw during the week and weekends. We would like to extend our sympathy to the family and friends of Rueben Harvey, he passed away June 15, 1986. Rueben was admitted to the Rome Hospital on June 13, and in I.C.U. June 14. Rueben was a brother to Louis and Vivian Harvey. He'll be buried in the Red- field Cemetery on June 18, following the funeral at Sanborn, McDaniel's Funeral Home, Main St., Camden, N.Y. Gordon Lago of Syracuse recently visited his cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Emory Yerdon of Redfield and his niece, Mrs. Jerry Sevey and family of Blossvale. Vernon Lago of Redfield visited Mrs. Katherine Cash and family of Parish and Everett McNally of Osceola, one day last week. Dennis Lago of Syracuse recently spent sometime at the Veterans Hospital for observation, routine tests and check-ups. Gordon Lago of Syracuse visited his sister, Mrs. Chris O'Brien and his aunt, Mrs. Harry Clark, both of Syracuse. He also visited his brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Burton Lago and family of Richland and Mr. and Mrs. Everett Lago and family of Blossvale, over the weekend. Chamber Supports Fair Chamber Vice-President Sue Bitz [right] presents a check for $278.20 to Ha Henderson, representative of the Oswego County Fair Association. Vice President Sue Bitz recently presented a check for $278.20 to Oswego County Fair Association Representative Ila Hen- derson. This money was earned by the Cake Booth at the Spring Craft and Fun Days Festival held at Sandy Creek Fairgrounds on Memorial Day Weekend. The Cake Wheel was organized and overseen by Sue Bitz as a fund raiser and fun-raiser for the Chamber of Commerce to promote the fair association. Joining Sue at the Booth were Carolyn Jordal, Evelyn Sadowski, Betty Langer and Jane Krupke. WSCP Radio was very helpful. Members and Friends of the Chamber donated homemade cakes, pies and goodwill to make the cake wheel an overwhelming success. The Fulton Bowling Association's Hall of Fame marked its silver anniversary Saturday night with the induction of two new members, Silvio Farfagha of Fulton and Harlan F. Walker of Pulaski. This bringing the number to 52 honored bowlers. The 25 th annual Hall of Fame and Tournament Banquet was held June 14, at 7:30 p.m. at Lakeview Lanes, Fulton. A native Fultonian, Harlan F. Walker now resides at 8053 Spencer Road, Pulaski with his wife, April. He is an 18-year employee, Senior Computer Operator, of General Electric Company. Before joining G.E. , he was employed in a managerial capacity at Lakeview Lanes. He is the son of two well- known Fulton residents. Peter and Madeline Walker. He is the son-in-law of two well-known Pulaski residents, Archie and Inez Neill. Harlan Walker still makes Fulton his bowling \headquarters\. Walker finished the Bud Light Classic League with a 206 average. He is considered one of the most consistent bowlers in the city. For 24 years he has averaged 200 or more. His highest average single 290. He rolled num- berous 700 series and twice hit 11 strikes in a row but couldn't get that perfect score. He competes regularly in state tournaments, American Bowling Congress Tourney and, Peterson Classic. He served as president of the Classic League and helped coach in the junior bowling program. Besides tending to his garden, Walker also enjoys hunting and fishing. Graduates Troy, N.Y.-Lori Anne Smith, daughter of the Reverend Earl M. Smith and the Reverend Joanne C. Smith, of Hubble Street, Pulaski, graduated from Emma Willard School Sunday, June 8 during the School's 172nd com- mencement exercises. Miss Smith plans to attend University of Buffalo in the fall. Emma Willard School, founded in 1814 by pioneer educator Emma Hart Willard, is an independent, college preparatory boarding and day school for 300 girls in grades 9 to 12. Thursday, Betty Van Alstyne, Winnie Leddick and myself were in Oswego where we had lunch at the Pon- derosa then called on Edith Lester at the Hillcrest Nursing Home. She was much improved. We then went shopping in Oswego and Fulton. Edith Spencer had an unexpected caller, an old friend from New Jersey, Paul Bower. Josephine Murphy called on her mother-in-law Sunday, she was with her sister Marie. Mrs. Phyllis Mullen called on Thelma LeClair Tuesday evening. Ruth Lawton spent the weekend with her sister Helen in Maple View. Winnie Leddick and granddaughter Terry Kelly went to Stephen Stiles on Sunday to have a Father's Day dinner with him. While in Mexico she visited the Richard Howards. She later attended the first anniversary of David and Sarah Lollier with a clam bake. This Saturday Winnie is invited to the wedding of her son, Dale Stiles and Kim Horton. Jean Foster of Lacona called on her mother Leah Hutchinson Tuesday forenoon at Springbrook. Swim To End The last day of Recreational Swim for this school year was Thursday, June 19. The'last day for the Toddler Swim will be Wednesday, June 26 for the school year at the Pulaski Junior Senior High School. A Safety Council of Central New York Defensive Driving six-hour course will be held at the Watertown State Office Building, 317 Washington St., first floor on June 28 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.. A fee Hosts Group The third group meeting sponsored by the Oswego County Pomona Grange will be held Wednesday, June 25, at 8 p.m. in the Granite Grange Hall, Palermo, N.Y. The program of the evening will be presented by the following Granges, South Richland #256, Palermo #309, Central Square #583, and Neahtawanta #1600.
