Pafle-8-Banner Times Monday, May 26, 1986 Orwell Echoes By Deanna Barber New Business Opens In Sandy Creek Otto and Fran Hauer along with Elmer and Martha Coyer recently attended a banquet in honor of their Bottle Club's 21st Anniversary. It was held in Syracuse at the Gen. Hutchinson House. Otto was honored when everyone sang Happy Birthday to him on the occasion of his 80th birthday on May 9. Nerine demons and daughter Lindy were in Watertown last week shopping. Nerine has had a bout with bronchitis, but is feeling a little better. Hurry and get well, Nerine. My daughter, Robin Fahnestock and I spent Thursday in Syracuse getting the dogs groomed. While we were waiting, we checked out the sales at Northern Lights Mall. Randy Barber celebrated his 18th birthday on Sunday with his family and friends. The years sure fly by. It seems like yesterday he was going through the \terrible twos\. Sunday night, his Confirmation class at St. Frances Church in Lacona surprised him with a cake. If anyone has dishes left at the Town Hall, please pick them up during Library hours. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 1-5, Friday night 6-9 or Saturday 9-2. Alos, if anyone in town is in- terested in using the Hall, call Nancy Meeks at 298-2893. Our congratulations go to Pastor and Mrs. Dan Baker of Vorea on the birth of their second child, a baby girl on May 20. She joins a brother, Jeremy at home. As soon as I find out her name, I'll let everyone know. The next meeting of the Orwell Co-op will be on Thursday, May* 29 at 7 p.m. There will be no meeting in June. New members are invited to attend. Sympathy of the community goes to the family of Clifton \BUI\ Finster who passed away this week. He will be greatly missed by all.
