It was good that the Stedman boys from California were able to be in Redfield to visit Jack and Bessie. Take it easy, Jack. I also read that Laura Anson, formerly of Williamstown, has had major surgery here in Florida. I have not mentioned Elwin, Aleah and David Fitch, who live in Arizona, for some time. Before going to Mexico as missionaries, they were ministering in Veora. They are working with Spanish speaking people. I am doing much better since my June hospital tests. I was at the doctor's Friday, July 12. The doctor was real pleased, so will be giving me the type of chemotherapy I had in the hospital. I had a treatment in his office and he will be giving another one on August 9. One day last week, the residents all enjoyed popcorn and lemonade in the activity room. Today, July 15, they will be taking several residents to a movie after lunch to the Venice Shopping Center. 1 am able to go. You all have a nice week, and I will get some more news for you next week. We had some rain on Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures on Sunday were in the 90s and this morning, 72 degrees. This morning we had 75 degree weather with rain. Since 6:30, it has stopped raining. I didn't hear what the temperature was on Sunday. Next week, we will have a bir- thday party for all those at the Center who had a birthday in July. Everyone seems to look foward to the parties. I read in the paper that Marian Williams of Redfield has remarried. I think her name is now Snapp. I also saw that Leonard Dean was in the hospital. Leonard, hurry and get well. Thanks to Elma Cheney for your clipping. I sure enjoyed it. c Saturday, a family council meeting was held in the dining room. Pizza, coffee and punch were served. The 'living will\ to which people here are entitled, was discussed. Any families interested are to contact Monica. This is the time when hurricanes are gathering in the Bermuda area. Ana was no threat. We now have another forming west of Fort Myers. I was typing, so did not get the name. As yet, it is no threat to land. Today is our manager's birthday. So, Happy Birthday, Peter Nyland, formerly of Syracuse. County Line Neighbors by Gen Perkins July 24 Sally Davis was an evening guest of Albert and I.
