The proposed location of the project consists of approximately 8.42 acres of vacant land North of County Route 2, owned by Warner and Bernice Piatt. It will be necessary to acquire land in the area of the project and residents and property owners in the vicinity of the project are invited to attend and present an oral or written statement, or documents relating to the need for the acquisition and the impact of the project on residents of the area and on the environment. Workshop Offered Cooperative Extension is pleased to offer a two-day workshop, \Sewing Clothes for the Kids\. The workshop will be held on August 15, 9 to 11 a.m. and August 16, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mexico Methodist Church, Church Street, Mexico. The instructor will be Carole Harth. The fee is $5 per person. Babysitting will be provided by \Mother's Helpers\ trained through a 4-H Child Care Clinic. At the workshop, Carole will demonstrate suitable fabrics and seam finishes to make kids clothes both sturdy and comfortable. Bazaar And Barbecue St. Frances and St. Mary's Catholic Churches will host their annual Bazaar on August 10, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at St. Frances Church grounds on Salina Street in Lacona'. A huge tent will provide shelter from sun and rain. Delicious baked goods, a cake wheel, handmade articles, white elephant sale and games for children of all ages will be available as well as raffles for many fine prizes, including money. Fluterthe Clown, played by Laurine Vogt, will be on hand to add to the festivities. This year, a chicken barbecue has been added to the event and will be held on August 11, starting at noon, at the Lacona Firemen's Field. A delicious dinner will be served and live music will be provided by Mike White for your listening and dancing pleasure. Father William Guckert, pastor of both Churches, has been working hard 'to help the parishioners get ready for the big event, which promises to be bigger and better than ever. Albion Cross Roads by Neva Robinson I want to apologize to Mr. and Mrs. Warren Manwaring for not having their names in the paper on the birth of their great grandson, so I hope this will do the trick. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Michalski are the proud parents of \Son\, born July 13 at St. Joseph Hospital in Syracuse. Michael David was born at 12:02 and weighed in at 7 lbs. 3 oz. The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. David Manwaring and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Michalski. Great- grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Warren Manwaring, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Robinson of Pulaski and Ms. Charolete Michalski of Massachusetts. A week ago Tuesday, Harold and y went to Derrick with Deanne and Dave Manwaring. We saw lots of deer and little fawns. My camera was back in camp, so didn't get any pictures. \Bus\ Darrh and his grand- daughter, Julie, were over for a visit Wednesday evening to see how everyone was. Merele Cobb had supper with us Robinsons Wednesday night and then went over to and watched a movie with Deanne and Dave Manwaring. Mr. Bill Stevens and Barb Pickens of Syracuse stopped in for a visit with us Sunday afternoon. John and Millie Souva also stopped on their way back from their camp at Derrick. There will be three openings in Oswego County in the near future. The part-time jobs include a year- round clerical position at Selkirk State Park, Pulaski; a seasonal light maintenance positiori at the State Barge Canal on the Oswego River, Oswego. Homes are urgently needed for Labrador Retriever puppies that will grow up to guide the blind. You provide* one year of love, training and attention, and your puppy provides years of love, guidance and companionship for a blind person.
